Fighting the Monster was specially created for Liverpool Book Arts’ exhibition Frankenstein 2018, which marked the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley's novel.

It is a screen-printed, laser-cut book that considers the way in which 'monsters' are created online. The book is built up of multiple symbols of red 'likes' and blue 'dislikes' on corresponding pages, with the overall shape of the closed pages looking like a silhouetted confrontation between riot police and a group of protesters.

The book is in a limited edition of ten.
Each copy measures approximately 27.5 by 15.5cm.
